The 2019 USA Walker Cup competitor will make his U.S. Open debut after qualifying at Pronghorn Resort in Bend, Ore. Salinda survived local qualifying in California before shooting 8-under 136 to share medalist honors. Salinda played at Stanford University and was a semifinalist in the 2018 U.S. Amateur at Pebble Beach, losing to UCLA's Devindeep Bling, 1 down. Salinda helped Stanford win the 2019 NCAA title, while finishing sixth individually. He advanced to the Round of 16 of the 2019 U.S. Amateur at Pinehurst. He also won the 2018 Paciic Coast Amateur at The Olympic Club. Currently a member of the Korn Ferry Tour after graduating from PGA Tour Latinoamerica. He also played on PGA Tour Canada in 2020.
